Inspection sequence

Applies to: Non-Residential Building Permit (New Construction / Tenant Improvement)

    Foundation

    Before concrete pour — schedule by 4:00 PM prior day via Inspection Hotline (208) 472-2920 or online Inspection Request Form

  2. 2

    Framing / Structural

    After structural framing and before wall cover — reviewed by SAFEbuilt or IDOPL

  3. 3

    Final

    All work complete; Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) or Certificate of Compliance (C of C) issued upon passing all required inspections

Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction / Addition / Remodel)

    After framing complete, before insulation or wall cover — building inspection by SAFEbuilt/IDOPL

    Final

    All work complete per approved plans; Certificate of Occupancy issued upon passing all required inspections

    Structural/installation inspection per Idaho building codes — schedule by 4:00 PM prior day via Inspection Hotline (208) 472-2920

    Final / Safety Checklist Verification

    Manufactured Home Safety Checklist must be completed prior to final certificate; final certificate not issued until safety checklist submitted
