Residential Building Permit (New Construction)
VerifiedRequired for new single-family residences, manufactured/modular homes, additions, alterations, and most other structures within the City of Donnelly. Applications are submitted to Donnelly City Hall; Valley County Building Department performs plan review support and all inspections under an interlocal service arrangement — Donnelly issues the permit and sets its own fee schedule.

Requirements
- Completed building permit application, signed by owner (or contractor acting as agent with owner's letter of authorization)
- All permits are filed and issued under the property owner's name
- Plans and structural engineering calculations must be stamped by an Idaho-licensed engineer or architect
- Contractor registration number required before construction begins if a contractor is performing the work
- Structures must be certified compliant with 2018 IRC, 2018 IBC, 2018 IECC, and Valley County Ordinances
- As of July 15, 2019, all plans must include structural calculations
- Donnelly Rural Fire Protection District (DRFPD) impact fee collected at application for new construction (effective October 2, 2023)
