    Framing / Rough-In

    Structural framing plus electrical, plumbing, and mechanical rough-in before walls are closed, per the 2018 IBC and trade codes as adopted; for tenant improvements this is typically the first field inspection

  3. 3

    Fire Systems

    Fire sprinkler and fire alarm verification — sprinklers are required in all new commercial buildings and (with exceptions) multi-tenant buildings per the City's Resolution 2023-43 fire-code amendments; the listed Fire Contractor's work is verified against approved fire sprinkler design plans

  4. 4

    Final / Certificate of Occupancy

    All work complete per approved plans, including ICC/ANSI A117.1-2009 accessibility compliance, before occupancy; the City publishes a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy checklist for businesses needing to occupy before full completion
