(1) The adopted FY2026-27 Consolidated Fee Schedule (Resolution 2026-1217, effective 7/1/2026) still lists 'Residential Manufactured Home - Plan Review — $180' at row 461, with no FY2026-27 change recorded against it. (2) The Town's own Development Permits page, in the 'Fees and Valuation' section immediately above the link to that same schedule, carries a bolded notice: 'Fee Update: The "Residential Manufactured Home – Plan Review" fee listed in the Town Fee Schedule is no longer charged.' On the face of the adopted schedule the Development Standards Review is superseded by the flat $500.00 TRCM fee, which the annotation says covers both the meeting and the complete review. What the workbook does NOT do is print a replacement rate on the Development Standards Review row itself — it cross-references instead — so this reading, while the plain one, is an interpretation of an annotation rather than a directly published figure. That single unresolved row is why this permit type is marked partial. |

EV Charger / EVSE Permit
Installation of an electric vehicle charger (EVSE) at a Camp Verde property is electrical work, most likely processed under the Town's Residential Over-the-Counter (OTC) Electrical permit — the same fast-track category explicitly used for 'electrical service upgrades' — since no distinct EV-charger/EVSE line item exists in the Town of Camp Verde FY2026-27 Consolidated Fee Schedule (Resolution 2026-1217, effective 7/1/2026) either. Note that the Copper Canyon Fire & Medical District schedule, which the Town's Development Permits page says governs all fire-related fees, does now carry an 'EV Charging Stations (plan review and 1 inspection) — $180.00' line; whether it is triggered by a simple residential charger is not stated by either body, which is why this permit type is marked partial.

Requirements
- Available as a minor residential electrical project (e.g., electrical service upgrade) under the OTC Electrical permit, per the Town's over-the-counter permit category
- Governed by the 2023 NEC as adopted by the Town of Camp Verde (Ordinance 2026-A512, effective 02-26-2026)
- Apply via the GovWell One-Stop Permitting Portal
- No EV-charger-specific application form, checklist, or fee category was found published separately from the general OTC Electrical / standard Electrical Permit

The adopted FY2026-27 schedule still contains no distinct EV-charger/EVSE line item of its own, and now also offers a Commercial Over the Counter Electrical permit at the same $90. |
| Copper Canyon Fire & Medical District — EV Charging Stations (plan review and 1 inspection); applicability to a simple residential EVSE not stated | $180.00 | NEW INFORMATION, not a change to a figure we previously published. Show full citationHideNEW INFORMATION, not a change to a figure we previously published. The Town's Development Permits page states plainly that 'Any fire-related fees are subject to the Copper Canyon Fire & Medical District Fee Schedule', and the district's current schedule carries a line in its PHOTOVOLTAIC AND BESS table reading 'EV Charging Stations (plan review and 1 inspection) — $180.00', read from a 200-dpi render of page 2 on 2026-08-16. The line does not distinguish residential from commercial installations and neither the Town nor the district publishes any statement about whether a single residential EVSE triggers a fire-district plan review at all. It is recorded here because a $180 charge on top of a $90 permit materially changes the cost of this permit if it applies, and omitting it would understate the total; it is NOT recorded as an established charge for residential work. Confirm with the Building Division and CCFMD before budgeting. |

Fire Protection Systems Permit — Fire Alarm / Fire Sprinkler / Kitchen Hood Suppression / Above-Ground Storage Tank
VerifiedCovers installation of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems (NFPA 13/13R commercial and NFPA 13D one-and-two-family residential), commercial kitchen hood/Ansul suppression systems, and above-ground fire protection water storage tanks in the Town of Camp Verde. Submitted as a single Town 'Fire Protection Systems Permit Application' alongside the applicable system-specific application from Copper Canyon Fire & Medical District (CCFMD) — the independent special fire district that serves Camp Verde and directly reviews/fees these systems. Camp Verde does not have its own municipal fire department; it relies on CCFMD.

Requirements
- Town of Camp Verde 'Fire Protection Systems Permit Application' checklist required for water tanks, hood exhaust systems, fire alarms, and fire sprinklers, submitted together with the applicable CCFMD-specific application (Fire Alarm, Sprinkler System, Hood, or Tank Application)
- Copper Canyon Fire & Medical District (CCFMD), 26B Salt Mine Road, Camp Verde, AZ 86322, (928) 567-9401 — an independent fire district (established 2016 per its own letterhead) — is the fire authority serving Camp Verde and independently reviews and fees fire alarm/sprinkler/suppression/tank systems; NOTE: some of the Town's own boilerplate checklist text still refers to a 'Camp Verde Fire District' or 'CVFD', an inconsistent/stale label — the current application forms, fee schedule, and letterhead are all explicitly branded Copper Canyon Fire & Medical District
- Commercial applicants must receive Development Standards Requirements approval from Planning & Zoning before submitting for construction
- Plans not meeting the exception requirements of A.R.S. §32-144 must be designed and sealed by an Arizona-licensed Architect/Engineer
- Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler plans specifically must be designed/sealed by an Arizona Registered Design Professional and reference the CCFMD application available on the Town's website
- Per A.R.S. §9-807, the Town cannot mandate (or prohibit) fire sprinklers in a single-family detached residence or a residential building with 2 or fewer dwelling units, except under code/ordinance adopted before December 31, 2009
- A deposit is collected at submittal per the current adopted fee schedule; a separate permit is required for each deferred submittal item

Change of Use / Certificate of Occupancy (processed via Commercial Tenant Improvement Permit)
The Town of Camp Verde does not publish a standalone 'change of use permit' or a standalone 'Certificate of Occupancy permit' application. A change in occupancy/use of an existing commercial building is processed through the Commercial Tenant Improvement Permit Application, whose own Town description explicitly covers 'either new or existing tenants and/or changes in occupancy.' A Certificate of Occupancy is then issued as the final step of that (or any) building permit's inspection sequence, per the Building Division's published process flow chart, at no separate charge — a distinct fee applies only if a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy is requested before full completion.
Reviewed 2026-08-16 · Source
Requirements
- No distinct change-of-use or CO-only application exists; a change of occupancy/use in an existing commercial building is processed as a Commercial Tenant Improvement Permit Application — the same permit product used for minor improvements to existing commercial buildings for new or existing tenants
- Commercial applicants must receive Development Standards Requirements approval from Planning & Zoning before submitting for construction
- A licensed contractor is required on all commercial projects; plans require an Arizona Registered Design Professional's seal (one set requires an original wet seal) unless exempt under A.R.S. §32-144
- Valuation for tenant improvement/change-of-use work is based on the bid price provided by a licensed commercial contractor
- A deposit is due at submittal, equal to the sum of applicable plan review fees (Building, Engineering, Fire, Sanitary) plus the Zoning Clearance fee
- A final Certificate of Occupancy is issued as the terminal step of the building permit's inspection sequence ('CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY OR COMPLETION' per the Building Division flow chart) at no separate charge
- A Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (requested before full completion) instead carries a Temporary Issuance Fee, which under the FY2026-27 Fee Schedule escalates by 3-month period rather than being charged once

| Building Plan Review Fee | 65% of the calculated Building Permit Fee | UNCHANGED in the FY2026-27 schedule (Resolution 2026-1217, effective 7/1/2026): 'Building Plan Review Fee — 65% of Bldg Permit Fee' (row 326), no FY2026-27 change recorded. |
| Commercial Zoning Clearance — Remodel/Accessory Structure (if the change of use requires one) | $110.00 (up to 2 structures) + $30.00 per additional structure | UNCHANGED in the FY2026-27 schedule (Resolution 2026-1217, effective 7/1/2026): 'Commercial Remodel \ Accessory structure — $110.00: Up to two (2) Accessory Structures plus $30 for each structure thereafter' (row 298), no FY2026-27 change recorded. |

Show full citationHideCHANGED from a one-time charge to an escalating per-period charge. Row 336, 'Temporary Issuance Fee (Residential Certificate of Occupancy)': the 2025-26 column reads '300' and the 2026-27 column reads '$300 1st 3-Months, $300 2nd 3-Month Period, $600 for Each 3-Month Period Therafter up to 18 months, w/ Approval of the Building Official.' A residential TCO carried for the full 18 months therefore now costs $2,400 rather than $300. Applies only if a Temporary CO is requested before full completion; a standard final CO still carries no separate fee. |
| Temporary Issuance Fee — Commercial Certificate of Occupancy (now charged per 3-month period, not once) | $500.00 for the first 3 months, $500.00 for the second 3-month period, $750.00 for the third, $1,000.00 for the fourth, then $1,000.00 per month thereafter up to 18 months, with approval of the Building Official; double the initial Temporary Issuance Fee for moving in without a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy | CHANGED from a one-time charge to an escalating per-period charge, with a new penalty.
