PermitBase

This is PermitBase’s published record for Timnath as of 2026-08-02. It has since been superseded — see the current record. A historical record reflects what PermitBase had verified at that time; it may not capture a real-world change the jurisdiction had made but PermitBase had not yet verified, and it includes any errors we later corrected. Snapshots are never edited retroactively.

IMPORTANT: the Town's live Building Division page (checked directly, current as of this extraction) names ONLY the 2024 IBC, 2024 IFC, and Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code as recently updated — it does NOT state that the IRC, IECC, NEC, IPC, IMC, IFGC, IEBC, IPMC, or ISPSC editions have changed from the 2023-dated 'Design Criteria and Adopted Codes' sheet. Confirm current IRC edition directly with Building Services (970-224-3211) before relying on this for a specific project, since the 2023 sheet predates the confirmed 2024 IBC/IFC adoption and may itself be stale for the other codes.Local amendments to all adopted codes are codified in Timnath Municipal Code Chapter 18 (Building Regulations) via Municode, https://library.municode.com/co/timnath/codes/municipal_code?nodeId=CD_CH18BURE — this page is a JavaScript-rendered CivicPlus codification app that could not be scraped directly in this session; specific amendment text should be pulled from Municode interactively or via the adopting ordinances themselves.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Permit

Timnath does not publish a dedicated EV charger/EVSE application, checklist, or fee line. Installing an EV charging station is electrical work, following the same general Electrical Permit mechanism documented in this file's Electrical Permit entry — governed by the 2023 NEC and processed via the Town's Building/Electrical Permit Application (CommunityCore for contractors, email for homeowners). No EV-specific base fee was found published online; per this file's Electrical Permit entry, the base fee schedule (Appendix 4-A to Chapter 4 of the Municipal Code) is itself not published online for any electrical work and must be requested directly from the Town Office. Re-chased 2026-07-20: attempted to pull the Appendix 4-A fee table directly from the Town's Municode library (library.municode.com/co/timnath/codes/municipal_code?nodeId=CD_CH4REFI) — the page loads but renders its content client-side via JavaScript with no fee text present in the static HTML, so the dollar figures could not be extracted even though the node itself resolves. No Wayback Machine snapshot of a Timnath fee-schedule PDF was found either. The governing mechanism (Chapter 4, Appendix 4-A of the Municipal Code, administered by Building Services) is confirmed to exist, but its dollar figures remain genuinely unpublished online after this additional attempt.

As with all other trade/base permit fees in this file, Appendix 4-A's valuation-based base building permit fee table was not locatable online; the Appendix 4-A schedule obtained directly from Ordinance No. 5, Series 2024 (Exhibit 4-A) contains only impact fees, sales/use tax rates, and a returned-check fee — no base building-permit valuation fee line. Contact buildings@timnathgov.com or 970-224-3211 for a quote. Note: the Town's residential Valuation Calculator (2022 ICC Building Valuation Data basis) is explicitly limited to residential elements (Main Floor, Basement, Garage, Deck, etc.) and does not include commercial/mercantile/business occupancy valuation categories, so it cannot be used to estimate commercial fees.

CURRENT rate effective 9/2/2024 per Ordinance No. 5, Series 2024, Exhibit 4-A (Appendix 4-A), amending Sec. 4-6-50(a) — supersedes the prior $330.00/1,000 SF rate. For a non-residential Core & Shell building permit, this fee is only assessed and payable at issuance of the tenant-finish permit, not at Core & Shell issuance (Sec. 4-6-50(a)(1)).

Public Buildings Impact Fee (non-residential)$1,197.00 per 1,000 square feet of non-residential buildingCURRENT rate effective 9/2/2024 per Ordinance No. 5, Series 2024, Exhibit 4-A — supersedes the prior $401.00/1,000 SF rate. CURRENT rate effective 9/2/2024 per Ordinance No. 5, Series 2024, Exhibit 4-A — the Town reduced this fee from a prior $267.00/1,000 SF to $0.00. Unlike the Police/Public Buildings/Transportation fees, the ordinance text does not carve out a Core & Shell deferral for this fee (payable at issuance of any building permit for any structure), though it is currently zero regardless.

Commercial Tenant Improvement / Tenant Finish Permit

Required for interior build-out or remodel of existing commercial, office, retail, or industrial tenant space in Timnath.
