Inspection sequence

Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction, Additions & Alterations)

    Foundation / Footings

    Before concrete pour — forms, rebar, footing size and depth, and anchor bolt placement per the residential structural plan review checklist

  2. 2

    Framing

    Floor framing, wall bracing, roof framing, and structural connections before wall cover — per the 2017 Idaho Residential Code

  3. 3

    Final

    All work complete per approved plans, ready for occupancy

Applies to: Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger / EVSE Permit

    Rough Electrical (DOPL)

    Circuit, conduit, and disconnect placement before concealment, if applicable — inspected by the state-assigned DOPL electrical inspector for Boise County/Idaho City

  2. 2

    Final Electrical (DOPL)

    Charger mounted, circuit labeled, and installation verified per the National Electrical Code as adopted statewide by DOPL

Applies to: Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Permit

    Foundation/Footing (ground-mount) or Framing (rooftop racking)

    Racking or ground-mount foundation structural attachment verified before panels are installed

  2. 2

    Final

    All work complete per approved plans; electrical interconnection is separately inspected by Idaho DOPL, not the City
