Requirements

  • Building permit required before any erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, improvement, removal, conversion, or demolition of a building or structure (Greenleaf City Code 8-1-2(A))
  • Plans must comply with the 2018 IBC and 2018 IRC as adopted/amended by the State of Idaho (Greenleaf City Code 8-1-1)
  • Application must be submitted with an electronic set of building plans including the site plan, OR three sets of paper plans with one set on 11 x 17 (tabloid) paper for scanning/filing
  • Re-roofing, window replacement, and siding replacement also require a building permit
  • Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC/mechanical work requires separate permits obtained directly through Idaho DOPL (dbs.idaho.gov / dopl.idaho.gov), not the city
