Required for new single-family residence construction, residential additions (including attached garages/carports), and residential remodels involving structural changes in the City of Notus. Issued by the City of Notus Building Department; plans are also routed through Planning and Zoning approval.

  • New single-family residence construction requires a building permit and Planning & Zoning approval before Building Department approval
  • Residential additions, including attached garages/carports, require a permit
  • Residential remodels requiring structural changes require a permit
  • Reroofing, free-standing sheds over 200 sq ft, box car units, installation of larger windows, and anything attached to the home (e.g., a patio cover) require a permit per the City's community guidance
