- Residential applications must include a plot plan (min. 8.5"x11") showing streets, north arrow/scale, lot boundary with dimensions, structure location and dimensions (existing vs. proposed distinguished), floor plans, elevation views, footing/foundation cross sections with reinforcing, room use, utility locations, curb/gutter/sidewalk/retaining walls, and a grading/drainage plan with post-construction slope
- Commercial applications require a complete blueprint/specification set designed by a licensed engineer
- Dig Line (1-800-342-1585) utility locate required prior to all excavation
- Construction sites without an existing address must complete a Caribou County address application before construction begins
- Sidewalk, street, and concrete curb/gutter construction required along the lot frontage before a certificate of occupancy is issued (City Code 12.08.040)
- Plans must meet the city's adopted 2018 IBC/IRC and local amendments (36" footings, 60 lb roof snow load, 115 MPH 3-sec gust wind, Earthquake Zone D1)
