The City's Planning & Land Use Department FAQ directs applicants to 'contact the NM Construction Industries Division to obtain a Building Permit' after zoning approval. Foundation Inspection
Made after excavations for footings are complete and required reinforcing steel is in place, before concrete placement

Concrete Slab / Under-Floor Inspection
Made after all in-slab or under-floor building service equipment, conduit, and piping are in place, but before concrete is placed or floor sheathing installed

Frame Inspection
Made after roof, framing, fire blocking, and bracing are in place and rough electrical, plumbing, and heating are complete and approved

Weather-Resistive Barrier Inspection
Made after installation of the weather-resistive barrier and before it is covered

Final Inspection
Made after finish grading and building completion; final electrical, plumbing, and mechanical inspections must be conducted first. CID issues the Certificate of Occupancy after approving the final inspection

Contractor Pre-Test
Installer conducts a full pre-test of the fire protection system(s) in accordance with applicable NFPA standards; failures must be corrected and re-tested until the system passes before a Final Acceptance Test can be scheduled

SFMO Final Acceptance Test
A State Fire Inspector is dispatched to witness the Final Acceptance Test after the Final Acceptance Checklist is submitted; approved/stamped plans, manufacturer specifications, testing documentation, and a system representative must be present on-site
