North Salt Lake requires an excavation / encroachment / site grading permit for: Street cuts and road excavation in the public right-of-way; Boring pits or potholes; Curb & gutter, sidewalk, or drive approach removal and replacement; Site grading of 1 acre or more (also triggers SWPPP requirements). The application fee is $250, plus $0.25/sq. ft. for the actual cut with a minimum charge that varies by road age ($500 for roads 3 years or newer, down to $150 for roads 8+ years old).
