Inspection sequence

Applies to: Commercial Building Permit

    Foundation

    Footings/foundation before concrete pour, per the 36-inch frost depth requirement and approved structural plans; special inspections per the project's statement of special inspections run in parallel where required

  2. 2

    Rough Framing / Structural

    Structural framing and fire-resistive assemblies complete before cover; rough electrical and plumbing inspections are conducted separately by the State of Colorado, not the City

  3. 3

    Final Inspection / Certificate of Occupancy

    All City-permitted work complete per approved plans; must be scheduled within 10 working days of job completion, at least one day in advance, between 10am and 4pm. Occupancy before a CO is issued triggers a 200% fine; a $200 Temporary CO (max 90 days) is available
