Fire Sprinkler / Fire Alarm System Permit in Longmont, Colorado

Longmont requires a fire sprinkler / fire alarm system permit for: Completed Longmont Fire Department permit application — submittals are NOT placed into the review queue until a complete application is received; Two complete sets of fire sprinkler plans and hydraulic calculations submitted; one set retained by the fire department, the second (stamped/approved) returned to the applicant; 45-second alarm delay required from the time of flow switch actuation; testing must be coordinated by the installer to ensure the fire alarm technician is on site; The permit holder is the only party who may request inspections and is responsible for any additional fees incurred; The permit must be on site at all times; Submit to the Fire Prevention Division, 385 Kimbark Street, Safety & Justice Building. If your project isn't listed, confirm with City of Longmont — Building Services (Building Inspection Division), Development Services Center at (303) 651-8332 before starting work.

$200.00 per riser, control panel, power supply, pump, or tank, plus $1.00 per system device, per the Longmont Fire Department's Construction Permit Fees.
