Applies to: Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Permit

    Pre-Construction

    Required before any footing work begins

  2. 2

    Foundation

    Footings and foundation before concrete pour

  3. 3

    Framing

    Structural framing, egress windows, fire separation

  4. 4

    MEP Rough-In

    Mechanical, electrical, plumbing rough-ins before walls closed — separate trade permits required

  5. 5

    Final

    All work complete, smoke/CO detectors, address posted, ready for occupancy

Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction)

    Pre-Construction

    Required before any footing work — inspector reviews all required inspections and provides key contact information

  2. 2

    Foundation / Footings

    Before concrete pour — verify forms, rebar, anchor bolts, and that footings extend to frost line (24 inches minimum)

    Framing

    After framing, sheathing, and rough-in trades complete — before insulation or wall cover

  4. 4

    Final

    All work complete per approved plans; certificate of occupancy issued after passing

    Electrical connections, inverter, and interconnection point verified; Idaho Power will be involved in a system test after municipal electrical inspection passes
