Trade Permit (Over-the-Counter Permit) in Kayenta Township, Arizona
An expedited 'over-the-counter' permit for minor electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or fire/specialty work where full plan review is not required — e.g., electrical service upgrades, replacement/change-out of existing electrical panels, mechanical equipment replacement, plumbing fixture replacement, or piping repair where systems already exist. The Building Official may require plans if systems/equipment are being relocated or reconfigured. Intended to be reviewed and issued while the applicant waits, where possible.

Tips
- The same Trade Permit form covers electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work — select the correct 'Check Type' box(es) rather than filing separate applications for each trade, as long as all applicable sections are completed.
- Renewable energy installations (photovoltaic or thermal, ground-set or rooftop) are captured on this same Trade Permit form, including a requirement for roof load calculations if rooftop-mounted.
