The text of Ordinance No. 1033 was NOT READ for this record, so its contents beyond that sentence are not asserted.
  • WHICH EDITION APPLIES IS SET BY YOUR SUBMITTAL DATE: the rule is framed around "new submittals after 12/31/25", not around when work is done.

Building & Safety is named. Fontana, by contrast, is closed every Friday, and Stockton and Santa Ana close alternating ones - so the Friday question has three different answers across three neighbouring cities.
  • WHAT THE FRIDAY RULE DOES NOT SAY. The page states which offices Friday hours apply to; it does NOT state that City Hall generally is closed on Friday. If your errand involves a department outside that list of six, confirm before travelling rather than assuming either way.
  • THE CITY NAMES ITS ADOPTING ORDINANCE, WHICH IS RARE. "All new submittals after 12/31/25 must meet current codes effective 1/1/26 per adopted city Ordinance No. 1033." Most California records in this corpus can cite only the statewide Title 24 dates because the city's own ordinance is not published where a reader can find it. Here there is a number to quote.
  • THE TRIGGER IS THE SUBMITTAL DATE, NOT THE BUILD DATE. A project designed under the older edition but submitted after 31 December 2025 is reviewed against the newer one.

  • THE EMAIL ADDRESSES ARE ALL ON THE .ORG DOMAIN even when you reached the page via .gov, which follows from the two domains being mirrors rather than one superseding the other.
