    St. Maries City Code 9-2-6 requires the Building Inspector to inspect the structure at 'designated points of construction as set forth in the building code adopted by the city,' and prohibits construction from proceeding beyond each designated inspection point until the inspection is completed and signified on the building permit. The city code does not separately enumerate a discrete checklist (e.g., footing/framing/final) beyond this general requirement as of 2026-07-19; the adopted 2018 IBC/IRC govern the specific inspection points.

    Final / Certificate of Compliance

    A Certificate of Compliance (a copy of the signed and dated inspection record) is issued once the Building Inspector is satisfied all codes and requirements are met, and must be issued prior to use and/or occupancy — St. Maries City Code 9-2-8.

    Charger circuit, disconnect, and any panel work inspected per the 2017 NEC as locally adopted; no EV-specific inspection checklist is separately published by the City, so this follows the general Building Permit inspection framework at St. Maries City Code 9-2-6.

    Final / Certificate of Compliance

    Certificate of Compliance issued once the Building Inspector is satisfied all codes and requirements are met, per St. Maries City Code 9-2-8 — applied to EV charger installations the same as any other building permit.
