    Lot corners staked before excavation; footing made after poles/piers set or trenched/basement excavated; forms and reinforcing in place

  2. 2

    Foundation

    Excavations for thickened slabs supporting bearing walls/partitions/structural supports/equipment; all forms and reinforcing steel in place

  3. 3

    Plumbing Underground

    Any plumbing under slab/concrete floor, inspected before concrete is poured; includes radon piping where applicable

  4. 4

    Plumbing Water & Sewer

    Checks city water and city sewer connections to the house

  5. 5

    Sheeting

    Inspected for nail separation, prior to plumbing/electrical/mechanical work

  6. 6

    Plumbing Rough-In

    Made prior to covering or concealment, before framing inspection

  7. 7

    HVAC (Mechanical) Rough-In & Gas Pressure Test

    Made prior to covering or concealment, before framing inspection

  8. 8

    Electrical Service

    Conductors/equipment delivering energy from the serving utility to the premises wiring system (not applicable to all projects)

    6 inches of gravel fill in valley locations, 12 inches on hill locations; standard 5 ft width with broom finish; expansion joint filler at driveways and max 50 ft spacing

    Electrical Final

    Fixtures and wall covers in place, appliances in place, panel directory completed, ready for occupancy

    Plumbing Final

    All systems in place, fixtures set, ready for occupancy

    Building Final

    Roof-mounting and structural attachment verified against the stamped engineering plans (City building inspector)

Applies to: Duplex Conversion Permit

    Life Safety Inspection

    Verifies smoke/CO detectors, fire separation, fire extinguisher, egress windows, and other life-safety code items are met

  2. 2

    Building Final

    Made after all other finals have passed; verifies the converted structure meets current code for two-unit occupancy

Applies to: EV Charging Station Permit (City Electrical Permit)

    Required only if new circuit wiring is enclosed before final; wiring, grounding, and component listing verified (City electrical inspector, not DOPL)

    EVSE breaker sizing, GFCI protection (where applicable), labeling, working clearances, and charger mounting verified against the 2023 NEC (City electrical inspector)
