  • Schedule inspections by calling the Inspection Line voicemail at (702) 346-6156. Cut-off for next-day inspections is 4:00 PM. Leave permit number and inspection type. (Residential Building Permit (New Construction))

  • Fire inspections for commercial projects must be scheduled directly with the Mesquite Fire Department — not through the building division inspection line. (Commercial Tenant Improvement Permit)
  • Fire inspection must be scheduled separately through the Fire Department (Commercial Tenant Improvement Permit)
  • Apply at mesquite.onlinegovt.com or in person; schedule inspections at (702) 346-6156 before 4:00 PM for next-day service (EV Charger / EVSE Permit)

    Before concrete pour — verify forms, rebar, anchor bolts, and footing depth (min. 12 inches frost depth); soils pad certification must be on file

    Framing / Rough-In

    After framing, sheathing, and rough-in of trades (electrical, plumbing, mechanical) — before insulation or wall cover

  3. 3

    Energy / Insulation

    Insulation and energy code compliance items before drywall; must comply with 2024 IECC (Southern Nevada amendments)

    Final

    All work complete — verify Certificate of Occupancy readiness
