Fire Sprinkler / Fire Alarm Permit in Mesquite, Nevada
Mesquite Fire and Rescue's Fire Prevention Bureau issues a single Fire Permit that covers automatic fire extinguishing (sprinkler) systems and fire alarm/detection systems together with several other fire-protection system types (fire pumps, standpipes, private fire mains/hydrants, etc.) — the department does not run separate sprinkler and alarm permit tracks. Applications and fees are processed through Fire Station 1 / the Fire Prevention Bureau, separately from the Building Division's trade permits.

Tips
- Sprinkler and alarm permits are NOT split at Mesquite — both fall under the same Fire Permit application and fee structure administered by the Fire Prevention Bureau, distinct from the Building Division's trade permits.
- Schedule inspections at least 24 hours in advance; standard inspection hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Same-day or overtime inspections are available for an additional (unpublished) fee.
- Pay the extra $75.00 expedited-review fee at submittal if you need a faster plan review turnaround.
- No day-range plan-review timeline is published for fire permits, unlike the Building Division's 10-21 working day figure for building/electrical/sign permits — call (702) 346-2690, ext. 5004 for a current estimate.
