    Footing

    Forms and rebar in place prior to placement of concrete.

  2. 2

    Foundation Wall / Monolithic Slab

    Concrete block, ICF block, or concrete forms with reinforcement in place prior to placement of concrete.

  3. 3

    Electrical Under Slab

    Raceway runs prior to covering trench.

  4. 4

    Plumbing Under Slab

    DWV with test prior to covering trench; in-floor heat with air test.

  5. 5

    Slab on Grade

    After electrical and plumbing under-slab inspections, prior to placement of concrete.

  6. 6

    Rough Electrical

    Electric service, feeders, and branch circuits complete to termination.

  7. 7

    Rough Plumbing

    DWV top-out through roof with test, gas piping with test, water piping with test.

  8. 8

    Rough Heating and Ventilation

    Appliance vents through roof, trunk line and taps installed, combustion air provided, exhaust ducts complete.

    Framing

    After rough electrical, plumbing, and mechanical are complete and approved; windows in place; foundation and roof vents installed; air barrier requirements complete.

    Insulation

    Exterior walls complete; ceiling complete if batted.

    Electrical Final

    Panel board labeled, cover plate on, switches/outlets connected, fixtures in place.

    Plumbing Final

    Fixtures in place, water supply functional, gas appliances installed and connected.

    Mechanical Final

    Gas appliances connected and operational, vent terminations complete, grills in place, cooling units functional.

    San Juan County Fire Department/Fire Marshal's Office inspection of the installed sprinkler, alarm, extinguishing, standpipe, or cooking-hood system for code compliance; billed per the Inspection Fees table by square footage, with the initial inspection including one re-inspection.

    Fire Department Inspection (new commercial construction)
