    Scheduled through the Washington Terrace Building, Planning & Inspection Department by calling (801) 395-8288 or (801) 393-8681, weekdays 9am-4pm, with 24-hour advance notice required; verifies NEC Article 690 compliance for the PV system's electrical components.

    Verifies roof-mount racking attachment or ground-mount support structure complies with the adopted IBC/IRC.

    Fire Sprinkler/Alarm Rough-In and Final Inspection

    Performed by Washington Terrace Fire/Rescue (Business Fire Inspections line, 801-393-6349) and/or the Chief Building Official, verifying compliance with the adopted IFC (Municipal Code § 15.08) and NFPA 13/72 as applicable, in coordination with the underlying building permit's inspection schedule.

    Annual Testing and Inspection (post-installation)

    After acceptance, automatic fire sprinkler systems require ongoing inspection/testing per Utah Admin. Code R710-5 and fire alarm systems per R710-11, performed and tagged by a state-certified technician; this is a recurring life-safety requirement, not a one-time permit inspection.
