Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction)

    Foundation/Footing

    Before concrete pour

  2. 2

    Framing

    Structural framing, connections, egress, per 2024 IRC and City of Maricopa amendments

  3. 3

    Lath or Gypsum Board Inspection

    After all lath and gypsum board (interior and exterior) is in place, before plastering or taping/finishing of joints and fasteners (IRC R109.1.5 as amended)

  4. 4

    Final

    All work complete per approved plans; required before Certificate of Occupancy

Applies to: Plumbing Permit

    Underground/Slab

    Before concrete pour — verify pipe slope, materials, cleanouts

    Rough-In

    After pipes installed, before walls closed

    Final

    Fixtures connected, water heater and gas connections verified, no leaks; gas test pressure minimum 10 psi for 10 minutes per City-amended IPC G2417.4.1

    Equipotential bonding grid and GFCI protection verified before deck pour

    Final / Barrier

    Pool barrier (5 ft height, gate self-closing/self-latching, window/door latch heights) verified complete before final approval, per ARS § 36-1681
