Due to limited staff capacity, the Town's own Building Department page states initial response times for phone calls and emails are approximately 3-5 business days.     Footing/Foundation

    Before concrete pour; scheduled via the Inspection Hotline (970) 328-9626 or the Community Core portal — call by 4:00 PM for the next available inspection date

    Framing

    Structural framing complete before cover

  3. 3

    Rough Plumbing / Mechanical

    Town-administered trade rough-ins before concealment; rough and final electrical inspections are scheduled separately with the Colorado State Electrical Board (DPO), not the Town

  4. 4

    Final Inspection / Certificate of Occupancy

    All work complete per approved plans and applicable codes; Certificate of Occupancy ($100) issued on passing — a Temporary C/O ($250) is available per the 2026 Fee Schedule

    Before concrete pour, per 48-inch minimum frost depth

    Rough Frame

    Framing complete, connection to existing structure verified

    Included in the standard permit fee package; scheduled directly with GEFPD's Prevention Office, not the Town

    Final Inspection

    Included in the standard permit fee package; additional inspections beyond the included final are billed at $55.00/hour, 2-hour minimum
