Due to limited staff capacity, the Town's own Building Department page states initial response times for phone calls and emails are approximately 3-5 business days. Published scheduling rules

  • All plan submittals and inspection requests for registered contractors go through the Community Core online portal; paper plans are not accepted. (Residential Building Permit (New Construction))
  • Inspections are scheduled directly with the State's assigned inspector, not the Town's Inspection Hotline (Electrical Permit)

Inspection sequence

Applies to: Residential Addition / Interior Remodel Permit

    Foundation (additions with new footings only)

    Before concrete pour, per 48-inch minimum frost depth

  2. 2

    Rough Frame

    Framing complete, connection to existing structure verified

  3. 3

    Rough Plumbing / Mechanical

    Trade rough-ins before concealment

  4. 4

    Final Inspection

    All work complete per approved plans

Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction)

    Before concrete pour, per 48-inch minimum frost depth

  2. 2

    Framing

    Structural framing complete before cover

  3. 3

    Rough Plumbing / Mechanical

    Trade rough-ins before concealment (rough electrical is scheduled separately with the Colorado DPO, not the Town)

  4. 4

    Final Inspection

    All work complete per approved plans and applicable codes; Certificate of Occupancy issued on passing

    Scheduled directly with the State-assigned electrical inspector, not the Town

    Final Inspection

    State inspector verifies devices, panel labeling, and energization

Applies to: EV Charger / EVSE Permit (State of Colorado Electrical Board)

    Wiring and conduit installed before walls closed (if applicable); scheduled directly with the State-assigned electrical inspector, not the Town

    Final

    Charger circuit/unit installed, breaker sized correctly, energized; State inspector verifies devices and energization

    Ductwork, flues, and equipment placement before concealment

    Town of Eagle Building Department inspects the structural/racking portion of the installation

    State Electrical Inspection

    Colorado State Electrical Board (DORA) inspects the interconnection/electrical work, since this is not handled by the Town
