The Town Clerk (Cindy Tompkins) handles day-to-day building permit issuance and business licensing; the Public Works Department (created under Calhan Municipal Code 6.01.010) holds oversight of the building permit and inspection program under the Public Works Director.

PPRBD Building and Trade Inspections
PPRBD inspects the permitted change-of-occupancy work across applicable trades (building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical); scheduled through PPRBD, not the Town of Calhan

A new or updated Certificate of Occupancy is issued once the change-of-occupancy work and any resulting building-code upgrades are approved
