Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction)

    After trenches excavated, reinforcement steel in place, forms erected, PRIOR to placing concrete

  2. 2

    Underground Plumbing

    Prior to covering of any piping or wiring and prior to placing concrete

  3. 3

    Rough Trade (plumbing, mechanical, electrical)

    May be performed with the rough frame inspection

  4. 4

    Rough Frame

    After roof, framing, fire stopping, sheathing, draft stopping, bracing, and fasteners are in place

  5. 5

    Insulation

    After insulation placed, PRIOR to covering walls

  6. 6

    Final

    After construction is fully complete

    Foundation & Foundation Wall (additions with new footings)

    After trenches excavated, reinforcement steel in place, forms erected, PRIOR to concrete

    Underground Plumbing

    Prior to covering piping/wiring and prior to placing concrete

    Rough Trade / Rough Frame

    Plumbing, mechanical, electrical rough-in and framing, fire stopping, sheathing, bracing complete

    After insulation placed, prior to covering walls

    Final

    After the addition or basement finish is completed

    Rim joist/ledger attachment, floor joists, beams, hangers (decks); roof, truss/ledger attachment, rafters/joists, beams and hangers, plus rough electric if applicable (patio covers/carports)

    After the deck or patio cover/carport is completed, including any final electrical
