   Per the City's Building Department FAQ: 'Final inspections will not be scheduled until all required documents and jurisdictional approvals are in place,' including the Fire District and Panhandle Health District sign-offs required on the original application

Applies to: Residential Addition / Remodel / Alteration Permit

   Footing/Foundation

   Required before concrete pour for deck posts, additions, or new footings

   Framing

   Structural framing and connections to the existing structure per approved plans

   Final

   All work complete per approved plans

Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction)

Applies to: Commercial Alteration / Tenant Improvement (TI) Permit

   Applicable only if the TI scope includes new framing, mechanical, or structural work -- not required for a pure finish-out with no wall/structural changes

   Final

Applies to: Electrical Permit (State-Issued — Idaho DOPL, not the City)

   Devices installed, panel labeled, protections verified per NEC; must be final-approved before the City of Hayden schedules its own City Final Inspection

Applies to: Mechanical / HVAC Permit

   Rough-In

   Ductwork and mechanical equipment rough-in before walls closed; duct leakage rough-in test (with or without air handler installed) per HVAC Certification Form

   Final

   Equipment operational; post-construction duct leakage and air balance certification confirmed

Applies to: Plumbing Permit (State-Issued — Idaho DOPL, not the City)

   Pipe placement and slope verification before walls/slab are closed, performed by a State of Idaho DOPL inspector

2. 2

   Final (DOPL-inspected)

   Fixtures connected, no leaks; must be final-approved before the City of Hayden schedules its own City Final Inspection

Applies to: Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Permit

   State Electrical Inspection

   Performed by an Idaho DOPL inspector; wiring, disconnect placement, and interconnection point verified before energizing; renewable energy installations require a plan check prior to this final inspection

   City Final Inspection (Building)

   Racking/roof-penetration attachment and structural compliance verified by the City -- cannot be scheduled until the state electrical permit is final-approved

Final inspection only: Demolition Permit, EV Charger / EVSE Permit
