Tips
- Fence permits are reviewed by Building/Planning & Zoning staff based on a submitted site plan rather than full construction drawings.
- Corner-lot fences get expanded height allowance (6 ft, versus the general 3 ft front-setback maximum) once 20 feet back from the front lot line along the side street.
- The applicant must independently contact Idaho Water Resource for ditch/canal-adjacent properties and Digline before digging deeper than 15 inches — these are certification steps built into the application's sign-off, not separate city permits.
