When you need this permit
- Required if the proposed development is in a Special Flood Hazard Area (Zones A or AE)
- Site plan showing size and location of the proposed development
- Base Flood Elevation and required lowest floor elevation documentation for new structures
- Elevation to which attendant utilities (heating, electrical) will be protected from damage
- For alterations/additions: estimated market value of the structure and cost of proposed construction (substantial improvement provision applies at 50% of market value)
- Floodproofing certification by a registered engineer or architect for non-residential floodproofed construction
- No Rise Certification with supporting data required if the development is in an identified floodway
- For subdivisions/PUDs of 50+ lots or 5+ acres: base flood elevations and the 100-year floodplain/floodway must be delineated on the site plan
