- 1
Foundation/Footing
Per Plan Review Check List: verify foundation sizing, reinforcement, seismic hold-downs, anchor bolt spacing (10-inch bolts, 6-foot spacing single story / 4-foot second story, 7-inch embedment, 12 inches from corners), and damp-proofing before concealment
- 2
Rough-In (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Framing)
It is the Building Department's preference that all residential rough-in inspections (mechanical and framing) be performed on the same inspection call; must be requested by phone no later than 4:30 PM the preceding day
- 3
Final / Certificate of Occupancy
Builders must notify the Building Department for final inspection of all projects (residential and commercial) before occupancy; Certificate of Occupancy required prior to occupancy and generally required by lending institutions before final release of construction funds

Racking and roof-penetration/structural attachment inspection, consistent with the Town's general Foundation/Framing inspection practice

- 1
Rough-In
Underground/slab and rough-in piping inspected before concealment; Building Department prefers rough-in inspections be combined where possible
