Required for demolition or relocation of any building or structure (or portion thereof) in Boulder City. Governed by 2026 Administrative Code Section 110.2(O) and, for properties in the Historic District, Title 11, Chapter 27 of the Boulder City Code.

When you need this permit
- Demolition permit required prior to the demolition or relocation of any building or structure or portion thereof (2026 Administrative Code Section 110.2(O))
- Site plan must show the structure(s) to be demolished, square footages, and setbacks to remaining structures and property lines
- All utility locations and points of termination must be indicated on the site plan
- A dust pollution management plan with an approved sealant of the lot is required (water is not an approved sealant)
- Report of Hazardous Materials Assessment required as backup documentation
- Structural calculations required if interior load-bearing walls are being removed or modified
- For properties in the Historic District: digital color exterior photographs (all sides) required, plus completion of the Demolition Permit Checklist for Properties in the Historic District; the Community Development Department must delay approval up to 45 days per Title 11, Chapter 27, Section 11-27-6 to make a historical record, allow Historic Preservation Committee review, and inform the owner of rehabilitation incentives
