MARYSVILLE PUBLISHES ITS PERMIT FEE TABLE IN THE CODE, AND YOU SHOULD CONFIRM IT BEFORE BUDGETING - FOR TWO REASONS, BOTH FROM THE CITY'S OWN TEXT. FIRST, THE PRINTED FIGURES ARE NOT THE AMOUNT PAYABLE: the table's note says "Fees are based on February 2023 Building Valuation Data, published by the ICC, including a cost modifier of 1.03 applied each year starting in 2025", so a compounding annual modifier sits on top of what is printed. SECOND, THE TABLE DOES NOT AGREE WITH ITSELF AT TWO BOUNDARIES. A tiered table should be continuous - each bracket's base equalling the previous base plus its rate across the bracket. Four of the six boundaries here are exact to the penny. Two are not: at $2,000 the table computes to $95.75 but the next bracket starts at $69.25, and at $1,000,000 it computes to $5,608.75 but the next bracket starts at $5,680.75. THIS GUIDE DOES NOT ADJUDICATE which figure the city applies - ask Marysville. PLAN REVIEW IS A RATIO AND IS UNAFFECTED: "said plan review fee shall be 65 percent (65%) of the building permit fee", and a plan established as a "basic" plan for repeated use within a subdivision is reviewed at 35 percent.Review timeline

Tips
- Confirm the fee before budgeting: the printed table carries a compounding cost modifier and is discontinuous at two boundaries
- A repeated "basic" plan within a subdivision is reviewed at 35% instead of 65%
- Do not let anyone occupy without water and sewer - that is a separate violation with its own clocks
