Inspection sequence

Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction)

    Foundation/Footing

    Before concrete pour; verifies 18-inch minimum foundation depth and 10-inch minimum spread footing thickness per City of Coolidge amendments

  2. 2

    Framing

    Structural framing, connections, and egress per 2018 IRC and City of Coolidge amendments (metal framing anchors, floor-to-floor strap ties, truss-to-top-plate connections)

    Building Weather-Tight (Frame Inspection)

    Building must be weather-tight at the time of the frame inspection per Coolidge amendment to §110.304

  4. 4

    Final / Certificate of Occupancy

    All work complete per approved plans; building address numbers (4-inch minimum, durable material) must be displayed prior to final inspection/CO issuance

    Foundation/Footing

    Required before concrete placement, per the 2018 IBC administrative inspection provisions as adopted by the City of Coolidge

    Framing / Weather-Tight

    Building must be weather-tight at the time of the frame inspection per the City of Coolidge's amendment to IBC §110.304 (Ordinance No. 23-13, Exhibit A) -- the same administrative provision used for residential construction, since Coolidge's adopted IRC deletes its own administrative chapter in favor of the IBC's
