Building permit applications are filed at Town Hall (PO Box 335 / 600 Clark St.) only AFTER the project has received required approval from the Design Review Board and/or Zoning Administrator; inspections are scheduled approximately one week in advance and the Town states it is not liable for work delays due to inspection scheduling.

Applies to: Commercial Building Permit (New Construction)

    Foundation/Footing

    Before concrete pour

    Framing

    Structural framing per approved plans and 2012 IBC

  3. 3

    Fire/Life-Safety

    Verified against the Town's adopted 2018 International Fire Code (Resolution 635) prior to commercial occupancy

  4. 4

    Progress Inspection (6-month minimum)

    An inspection showing construction progress must occur at least every six months or the permit becomes invalid

  5. 5

    Final

    All work complete per approved plans

Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction)
