  • Superior's Building Division is operated under contract by SAFEbuilt, but the Town of Superior itself is the issuing authority — permit correspondence and inspection scheduling flow through superiorinspections@safebuilt.com and the Community Core portal, which can read as a third-party service but is the Town's own department infrastructure, not a separate jurisdiction.     Before concrete pour, where applicable

    Rough Frame

    Framing complete, connection to existing structure verified

  3. 3

    Rough Electrical / Plumbing / Mechanical

    Trade rough-ins before concealment

  4. 4

    Final Inspection

    All work complete per approved plans

    Before concrete pour, per 36-inch minimum frost depth and stamped foundation plans

    Framing

    Structural framing complete before cover

    Rough Electrical / Plumbing / Mechanical

    Trade rough-ins before concealment

    Final Inspection

    All work complete per approved plans; large-format approved plan set must be on site

    Array wiring, disconnect, and panel connections verified before concealment, per 2023 NEC Article 690 as adopted.

    Final Inspection

    All work complete per approved plans and the Town's Solar Inspection Checklist; final inspection triggers same-day notification to Xcel Energy for interconnection, per the Town's Sustainable Building page.

    Mid-Roof Inspection

    Required in addition to the final inspection; a ladder must be supplied by the contractor
