Building permit administration is contracted to a third-party firm, Comprehensive Building Code Services, LLC (CBCS), since August 2024, when the Town's in-house Building Division was dissolved. Published scheduling rules

  • Request inspections at least two business days in advance, and coordinate sprinkler and alarm final inspections for the same appointment since the District schedules them together. (Fire Sprinkler / Fire Alarm System Permit)

    Rough Frame / Rough Mechanical / Rough Plumbing

    Framing, plumbing, and mechanical rough-in inspected before concealment; electrical rough-in is inspected separately by Summit County Building Inspection Division

  3. 3

    Final Inspection

    All work complete per approved plans; inspections requested online via CommunityCore before 4:00 PM are conducted the next business day. Summit Fire & EMS conducts its own inspections under its separate permit
