  • Inspections are scheduled through DOPL's own system and performed by a DOPL-assigned inspector (EV Charger / EVSE Permit)
  • All inspection requests require 24-hour advance notice, Monday through Thursday; inspections requested on Friday are normally performed the following Monday. (General)

    Verify building location against required and stated setbacks before further work

    Footing

    Before concrete pour; UFER ground option noted on the fee worksheet

  3. 3

    Foundation

    Foundation inspection prior to backfill

  4. 4

    Frame

    After framing and rough-in trades are complete, before insulation or wall cover

  5. 5

    Insulation

    Insulation inspection before drywall

  6. 6

    Drywall (shear/fire)

    Shear wall and fire-rated assembly inspection at drywall stage

  7. 7

    Final

    Final inspection by the Kimberly Building Official; cannot be scheduled until the State of Idaho electrical, plumbing, and HVAC inspectors have signed off. A separate Public Works final inspection of sidewalks, water meter vaults, and meters follows before a Certificate of Occupancy is issued.
