    Footing

    Forms and rebar in place prior to placement of concrete

  2. 2

    Foundation Wall

    Concrete block, ICF block, or concrete forms in place with reinforcement/rebar prior to concrete placement

  3. 3

    Monolithic Slab

    Forms, exterior insulation, and rebar in place prior to concrete placement

  4. 4

    Framing

    After rough-in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical are completed and approved; windows in place; foundation and roof vents installed; air barrier requirements completed

  5. 5

    Insulation

    Exterior walls complete, ceiling complete if batted (blown-in attic and crawl space insulation may be verified at building final)

  6. 6

    Building Final

    Last inspection prior to occupancy approval

    Fixtures in place, water supply functional, gas appliances installed and connected

    EVSE circuit, feeders, and raceway complete to termination before covering

    Fire Department Inspection (Commercial Construction)

    Required inspection specific to commercial construction, per the Building Division's own published Required Inspections list; verifies fire protection systems (sprinkler, alarm, suppression, standpipe) and fire hydrant access as installed against approved plans

    Re-Inspection (if the initial inspection does not pass)

    Billed at $75.00 if a re-inspection beyond the one already included with the initial inspection is needed, per the Fire Department's fee schedule

    Rough Heating and Ventilation

    Appliance vents through the roof, trunk line and taps installed, combustion air provided, exhaust ducts complete

  2. 2

    Mechanical Final

    Gas appliances connected to gas supply and operational, vent terminations complete, return and supply grills in place, cooling units complete and functional

Applies to: Sign Permit

  1. 1

    Sign Final

    Completed sign installation verified against the approved application (type, height, area, combustible/noncombustible construction) and applicable codes

  2. 2

    Electrical Final (if electrical was required)

    Panel/circuit connections, disconnects, and fixtures verified per the standard Electrical Permit inspection process, if the sign includes an electrical connection

Applies to: Solar PV Permit

    Electrical Inspection

    Verifies wiring, combiners, disconnects, and point of connection per adopted 2020 NEC / 2020 New Mexico Electrical Code and the 2012 Uniform Solar Energy Code

    Verifies structural reinforcement work per the PE's stamped analysis and approved building permit
