Inspection sequence

After excavations for footings are complete and any required reinforcing steel is in place, and after all foundation insulation is in place; additional inspections may be required for treated-wood foundations

Concrete Slab or Under-Floor Inspection
After all in-slab or under-floor building service equipment, conduit, piping accessories, and other ancillary equipment are in place, but before any concrete is placed or floor sheathing (including sub-floor) is installed

Frame Inspection
After the roof, all framing, fire blocking, and bracing are in place, all pipes/chimneys/vents are complete, and the rough electrical, plumbing, and heating wires/pipes/ducts are approved

Weather-Resistive and Lath Barrier Inspection
After installation of the appropriate weather-resistive barrier and before it is covered

Insulation Inspection
Before insulation is covered

Wallboard Inspection
Before wallboard is taped and bedded

Final Inspection
After finish grading, with the building complete and ready for occupancy; final electrical, plumbing, and mechanical inspections (conducted by the City of Rio Rancho) must be completed prior to the final general construction inspection. The Construction Inspector issues the Certificate of Occupancy after approving the final general construction inspection
