Inspection sequence

Applies to: Residential Solar / PV System (Distributed Generation Interconnection)

    Preliminary Onsite Inspection

    Brigham City Power performs a preliminary onsite inspection before referring the application to WC3 for design review, per the official Solar Power page.

    WC3 Design Review

    West Coast Code Consultants (WC3) conducts the system design review; paid directly to WC3, separate from Brigham City's own permit fees.

  3. 3

    WC3 Post-Installation Inspection

    Scheduled by calling WC3 inspector Josh Goodman at (801) 455-0029 following system installation; paid to WC3.

    Permission to Operate

    Once WC3's final inspection is received, Brigham City issues a 'Permission to Operate' letter authorizing the system to be turned on.

    Rough electrical, plumbing, or mechanical inspection before wall closure, as applicable to the scope of the tenant improvement

    Sprinkler-required/provided status and system type are reviewed as part of the Code Analysis worksheet accompanying the Commercial Building Permit; the Fire Marshal may require additional information per the worksheet's own instructions.

    Fire Sprinkler Final Inspection

    Conducted as part of the standard commercial building-permit inspection sequence prior to occupancy; Brigham City does not publish a separate fire-sprinkler-specific inspection checklist.
