    Underground Plumbing / Utilities

    Before floor slab pour and after pressure testing of underground plumbing

    Rough-In (Framing, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical)

    After roof, framing members, and fire blocking are in place and all pipes, vents, ducts, and wiring are installed, before any of it is covered

    Final

    After the building is completed and prior to occupancy

    Foundation / Footing

    Before concrete pour — verify excavation, forms, rebar, and anchor bolts. Concrete inspections: notify staff when concrete truck is scheduled so inspector can arrive before truck.

    Framing / 4-Way

    After framing, sheathing, and rough-in MEP — before insulation or wall cover. Windows and flashing must be installed for the 4-way inspection.

    Insulation

    After insulation installed, before drywall

    Final

    All work complete, ready for occupancy. Do a final walk-through before scheduling — inspectors may assess $75 re-inspection fee if not ready.

    Land Use Authority Approval

    Department reviews and comments are used to prepare the zoning clearance approval, which is presented to the county land use authority for approval, per the application form.
