    Before concrete pour — verify excavation, forms, rebar, and anchor bolts. Concrete inspections: notify staff when concrete truck is scheduled so inspector can arrive before truck.

    Framing / 4-Way

    After framing, sheathing, and rough-in MEP — before insulation or wall cover. Windows and flashing must be installed for the 4-way inspection.

Tips

  • All applications must be submitted digitally by email to cachecountyplanreview@gmail.com with ALL materials in one email — incomplete applications are deleted from the queue.
  • Inspections must be requested at least 24 hours in advance, with a 3:30 PM cutoff the prior business day. Calling 2–3 days in advance is recommended.
  • Cache County requires a Zoning Clearance from the Planning & Zoning office before a building permit can be processed — contact (435) 755-1640.
  • For permanent power clearance, the Request or Work Order Number issued by Rocky Mountain Power must be provided before staff can email the inspection report to Rocky Mountain Power.
  • Permits expire if work does not commence within 180 days of issuance, or if work is suspended for 180 days.
