Published scheduling rules

  • Cancel inspection requests before 9 AM to avoid being charged — cancellations received after 9 AM are processed on the next business day. (Residential Building Permit)
  • All inspections must be scheduled via email to buildinginspections@eaglemountain.gov. (Basement Finish Permit)
  • All inspections must be scheduled via email to buildinginspections@eaglemountain.gov. (Deck Permit)
  • Power inspections must include the Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) work order number in the inspection request email. (Residential Solar Permit)
  • All inspections must be scheduled via email to buildinginspections@eaglemountain.gov. (Residential Pool Permit)
  • All inspections in Eagle Mountain must be scheduled via email to buildinginspections@eaglemountain.gov — walk-ins are not accepted. Power inspections must include the Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) work order number. Cancel requests before 9 AM or they are processed the next business day. (General)

Inspection sequence

Applies to: Basement Finish Permit

    Framing

    Wall framing, fire blocking, and egress window openings verified before walls are closed

  2. 2

    MEP Rough-In

    Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough-ins before walls closed

  3. 3

    Insulation

    Insulation on exterior walls, vapor barrier placement

  4. 4

    Final

    Drywall, fixtures, smoke/CO detectors, and all finishes complete

Applies to: Residential Building Permit

    Foundation / Footing

    Before concrete pour — verify excavation, forms, rebar, and anchor bolts

  2. 2

    Framing

    After framing, sheathing, and roof — before insulation

  3. 3

    Insulation

    After insulation installed, before drywall

    Final

    All work complete, ready for occupancy — certificate of occupancy issued upon passing

Applies to: Residential Pool Permit

    Steel reinforcement and plumbing before gunite or shell installation

    Pool bonding, grounding, and electrical connections
