   Wall construction and any structural modifications verified before close-in, where applicable to the scope of work.

   MEP Rough-In

   Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing rough-in verified against submitted plans.

   Final

   All work complete before occupancy.

Applies to: Fire Sprinkler System Permit

   Underground Flush

   Underground piping flush test performed before hydrostatic/acceptance testing, per Resolution No. 2024-01R's Acceptance Testing fee section.

2. 2

   Hydrostatic / Acceptance Testing

   System pressure and acceptance testing; first 2 tests included in the base fee, further tests billed at $60.00 each.

3. 3

   Fire Sprinkler Inspection

   Final SCIFRU inspection of the completed sprinkler system, billed at $135.00 per Resolution No. 2024-01R.

Applies to: Residential Building Permit

   Building Permit Application Review

   Application and plans forwarded to the Building Official for review against adopted building codes and city ordinances; plans are returned to city staff within 10 days marked 'approved' or 'disapproved' (with reasons attached if disapproved), per Santa Clara City Code § 15.04.030.

   Field Inspections

   Building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing field inspections conducted by the Santa Clara Building Department during construction; scheduled via the city's online permit portal (utah.cityinspect.com).

3. 3

   Final Inspection

   Final inspection required prior to occupancy. The Building Official may revoke a permit at any time for work that violates any city ordinance, per Santa Clara City Code § 15.04.030.

Applies to: Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Conditional Use Permit

   Technical Review Committee (TRC) Review

   Weekly TRC meeting reviews the ADU Conditional Use Application for zoning compliance prior to approval, per the official ADU application form.

   Building Permit Inspections

   Standard building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing inspections apply to ADU construction once the associated building permit is issued (see residential-building-permit entry).

   Acceptance Testing

   Fire alarm system functional/acceptance testing; first two tests included in the base fee, further tests billed at $60.00 each.

2. 2

   Fire Alarm Inspection

   Final SCIFRU inspection of the completed fire alarm system, billed at $135.00 per Resolution No. 2024-01R.
