Tips
- A pre-approved 'model engineering' residential pool plan is significantly cheaper ($500 permit fee) than a custom-engineered pool without model engineering ($550 permit fee plus a separate $200 model plan review where applicable) — ask your pool contractor whether their standard plan already has Town-approved model engineering on file.
- Prefabricated spas and above-ground pools 18 inches deep or greater are a flat $75 permit; anything under 18 inches deep and entirely above-ground is exempt entirely.
- Commercial or community pools are billed on a valuation basis (BOV) per Ordinance 2011.015 rather than the flat residential fees listed above.
