Tips

  • Applications are not accepted via mail or e-mail — submit online through the Citizen Access Portal (https://citizenaccess.pinalcountyaz.gov/) or in person at the Florence office. Cash payments are capped at $150 per transaction.
  • Online submittals require only ONE set of plans versus two sets for paper submittals — this can meaningfully speed up your submittal.
  • A separate zoning-required site plan (engineer's scale, showing setbacks measured from eaves/overhangs) is required in addition to the construction-document site plan — don't combine them or show grading/topography lines on the zoning site plan.
  • If your property is in Mammoth, Kearny, Superior, San Manuel, Dudleyville, or Top of the World, note that inspections in those areas are scheduled ONLY on Wednesdays (emergencies handled case-by-case) — plan your inspection call accordingly.
  • Termite pretreatment of foundation fill is required under the county's amended IBC §2304.12.4 for any permitted building (exceptions: R-3 accessory buildings and buildings with metal/masonry/concrete floors and walls).
  • Applications expire if no permit is issued within 180 days; a single 180-day extension is available on written request showing circumstances beyond your control.
