When you need this permit
- Completed Building Permit Application
- Contractor must hold a current City of Lafayette license
- Two (2) sets of plans required, including: a site plan showing equipment location and setbacks for ground-mounted systems; structural plans with an engineer's evaluation of the existing structure showing compliance with 30 psf snow load and 105 mph 3-second-gust wind load (flush-mounted systems may submit generic engineering); a mechanical diagram showing system components; and an equipment schedule listing system components and their listings (heat exchanger, panels, storage tank, transfer fluid, pumps, backflow prevention, expansion tanks, etc.)
- Plans should be no larger than 11 x 17 inches
