Applies to: New Commercial Building and Commercial Additions Permit (502)

    Footing

    Excavated piers, trenches, forms in place, required reinforcing steel in place — before concrete pour

  2. 2

    Foundation

    Forms and required reinforcing steel in place — before concrete pour

  3. 3

    Wall Bracing

    Bracing, sheathing, and attachments in place — before weather barrier installation

  4. 4

    Framing/Rough-In

    Roof, framing, firestopping, draftstopping, and bracing in place; all trade (electrical/plumbing/mechanical) rough-in inspections approved

  5. 5

    Fire and Smoke Penetrations

    Rated/listed joints and penetrations in fire-rated assemblies verified

  6. 6

    Energy Efficiency

    Air sealing, insulation, and window performance verified after framing/rough-in, before gypsum board installation

  7. 7

    Fire — Fire Life Safety

    Sprinklers, alarms, egress, fire access, and hydrants verified by the Fire Inspector

  8. 8

    Final

    All work complete, including any Public Works Drainage inspection and Planning zoning inspection where applicable — required before occupancy

Applies to: Tenant Improvement Permit — Minor (518) and Major (520)

    Framing/Rough-In

    Framing, firestopping, and draftstopping in place; coordinates with all trade (electrical/plumbing/mechanical) rough-in inspections, which are scheduled under separate trade permits

    Fire and Smoke Penetrations

    Rated/listed joints and penetrations verified where the TI scope affects fire-rated walls, partitions, or ceilings

  3. 3

    Ceiling Grid

    Bracing verified before ceiling panels are installed — required only if a new suspended grid ceiling is part of the scope

  4. 4

    Erosion & Sediment Control Site Final

    Required only for TI projects with exterior work and a ground-floor addition greater than 500 sq ft — landscaping/stabilization and removal of temporary controls verified

  5. 5

    Final

    All work complete per approved plans, ready for occupancy

Applies to: Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Permit

    Foundation

    Footings and foundation before concrete pour

    Framing

    Structural framing, egress windows, fire separation

    MEP Rough-In

    Insulation installed, vapor barrier in place — before drywall

    Final

    All work complete per approved plans
