Tips
- Boise offers both online (ePlanReview) and in-person plan submission; PDS recommends meeting a plan reviewer in person for complex projects.
- Level 1 (simpler) new SFD permits average 9 days first review; Level 2 projects average 15 days first review (now slightly over the City's <14-day target) per April–June 2026 timeframe report.
- Schedule inspections by calling (208) 608-7070 before 7:30 a.m. for same-day service; morning (8 a.m.–noon) and afternoon (1–5 p.m.) slots available.
- Frost depth is 24 inches minimum — footings must extend below this depth.
- City Approved Plans must be on site during all inspections.
