Tips
- Conceptual approval: 4-week maximum turnaround (City Staff/Engineering review plus Council approval), depending on project size, per the Commercial Project Development Guide.
- Preliminary Site Plan approval: 6-week maximum turnaround, per the Commercial Project Development Guide.
- Conditional Use Permit or Variance submittals (if required): 20-day minimum turnaround each, per the Commercial Project Development Guide.
- A grading permit issued during final site plan review is valid for only 45 days.
- WC3's building-plan-review fees are collected by the City; WC3's Fire Marshal review fees are paid directly to WC3 by the developer — these are two separate fee streams.
- Once WC3 approves plans, the applicant must bring two hard copies of the approved, review-stamped documents to the City for building permit issuance; one copy stays with the City, the other must remain on the jobsite.
